About The Cancer Center
The University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation (UCCRF) is committed to fighting cancer from every angle. It plays a key role in supporting the University of Chicago Medicine’s Comprehensive Cancer Center (UCCCC) as it continues to transform the future of medicine and reduce the devastating effects of cancer. Research discoveries made by faculty in the UCCCC have paved the way for the majority of cancer treatments used today, including chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, gene therapy, and bone marrow transplantation. Leading-edge research, combined with innovative treatments and unique clinical trials, have consistently earned the UCCCC designation as the best cancer program in Illinois and in the top 15 in the nation, as ranked by U.S. News and World Report.
